I’m in my gray hair era… embracing my natural hair, living life beyond the dye, and sharing what this season looks like as it unfolds.

After years of coloring my hair, I chose to stop in October 2024. Going gray naturally became less about my hair and more about how I wanted to live… simpler, freer, and more at ease in my own skin.

This space is where I share that life… beauty that feels unfussy, confidence that comes quietly, and everyday moments, travel, and the small shifts that make midlife feel expansive instead of limiting.

Years of being PTA president and I still didn’t learn my lesson 😅

Overthinking is overrated… I say that as someone who is still working on it. And I’m proud to say that yesterday… I just went 🥹

If I had waited for the rain to stop or kept looking for the perfect shot, I would have missed all of this. No makeup, no plan, just me and my gray hair blowing in the wind… and it was everything ✨

Thirty years ago we lived here… our daughters were born in this city ❤️ Back then it was both of us in full survival mode… raising babies, building careers, just trying to keep it all together. Spontaneous weeknight anything was not a thing. Now we just… go. Weeknight dim sum. Cable car rides just because. Being pleasantly surprised every time by what the evening sky does over this city. This is empty nester life and we are here for it ✨ Grateful doesn’t even cover it… this chapter, this gray hair, all of it finally lining up 🩶

After one of my previous reels asking whether the sun affects gray hair… you all came through with the answers. Turns out sun exposure can yellow gray hair over time, so I’m taking your advice and wearing a hat (instead of a visor) to pickleball from now on ☀️🧢
