about Meesh
Hi, I’m Meesh — just a fun-loving 50+ GenXer sharing my natural gray hair journey and living life beyond the dye.
After years of coloring my hair, I chose to go gray naturally, and it’s been one of the most empowering journeys of my life. My last dye was in October 2024, and I haven’t looked back (other than to see how far I’ve come on my journey).
This space is all about life after the dye — sharing my journey to embracing gray hair, finding new beauty and confidence, and living fully through everyday moments, travel, and more.
Whether you’re thinking about going gray, already on your own journey, or just looking for a little inspiration to live more freely and authentically, I’m so happy you’re here.
Welcome to life in my gray hair era blog ~ where I share the real and raw of going gray, showing up, and starting fresh.
Have a question, want to share your story, or curious about working together?

I just couldn’t take my grays anymore…
Not because I’m giving up on going gray…but because I hit a rut. The grow-out looked dull. The texture felt off. And suddenly, I started questioning it all.
But instead of running back to the dye, I went for gray hair TLC: A fresh cut, a deep condition, and a reminder that I don’t need to fix anything…I just needed a reset.
Seven and a half months in since I ditched the dye and this journey is still teaching me: You won’t love every phase, but you don’t quit on yourself when it gets hard. ✨

They call it “distinguished” on men. But on women? It’s still “too much.” Too bold. Too visible. Too honest.
I’ve heard it all…and I’m still showing up. ✨
Gray and growing, even when the world expects me to shrink.
If this hits home for you too… I’d love to have you here.
Follow along…we don’t have to do this alone 🩶

There’s a kind of confidence that grows when you stop covering up. Not just your roots, but the pressure, the expectations, the old stories about what it means to be ‘put together’.
It’s not loud or showy. It’s showing up in a borrowed dress, twirling in a parking lot, and feeling completely like yourself.
This list? It’s mine right now. Confidence beyond the dye isn’t just about hair. It’s about choosing freedom. Choosing joy. Choosing you, as you are 🩶✨
What would be on your list?

I just couldn’t take my grays anymore…
Not because I’m giving up on going gray—but because I hit a bit of a rut. It happens. The grow-out gets dull, the texture feels off, and suddenly you’re wondering if it’s really worth it.
But instead of running back to the dye, I ran to the salon for a little gray hair TLC. A fresh cut, a deep condition, and a reminder that I don’t need to cover anything—I just needed a reset.
7.5 months in, and this journey is still teaching me that honoring your hair doesn’t always mean loving every phase. It just means you don’t give up on yourself when it gets hard 🩶✨

No hair dye. No pressure. No pretending.
Just me—fully present on a trip I’ll never forget.
We wandered vineyards, laughed over wine, and made memories I didn’t have to perfect.
This season of life feels lighter.
Not loud. Not flashy. Just honest, rooted, and free 🩶

Before I ditched the dye, getting dressed felt like a performance. I’d stress over my roots, dig for the right outfit, and try to match a version of myself I thought the world wanted to see.
Always covering. Always chasing.
Now? I don’t overthink it. I don’t buy into every trend. I shop my closet, let the grays show, and dress for the version of me that finally feels real 🩶✨
